A Selection process for both the posts are described as:-
For the post of Sub-Inspector:- The three phases process for the recruitment is described below:- Phase I Computer Based Test - The Online written test will be conducted in the month of September and October. The candidates who would apply for the post, have to appear for the test. The test will be consists of 120 MCQs type questions and to be completed in 90 minutes duration. 1 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 marks will be deducted for 4 incorrect answers. Question Type: The question paper is consists of three sections and the paper consist of 120 marks. The syllabus for the test is described below:- General Awareness - 50 Marks, Arithmetic - 35 Marks, and General Intelligence and Reasoning - 35 questions. Phase II Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- The candidates who will qualify CBT shall be called for PET an PMT. It will consist of three events:
Document Verification - Merit list of the Candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written test and performance in PET and PMT for document verification. Selection Procedure : The
eligible candidates applying for entry will have to appear before a Naval
Campus Selection Team for interview. The Candidates qualifying the campus
interview will be shortlisted for SSB interview on the basis of his/her
preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for
particular entry. In case of excess candidates further shortlisitng will be
based on percentage scored up to 5th semester in BE/B. Tech. The final
selection of Branch/Specialization/Cadre will be decided by IHQ-MoD (Navy)
depending on number of vacancies in particular Branch/Specialization/Cadre.
Candidates shortlisted during campus
interview will be called for SSB interview at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/
Visakhapatnam between Dec 17 to Apr 18. Selected candidates will be informed
about their selection for SSB interview on their E-mail or through SMS as
provided by candidates in their application form.
